A Hero of Two Worlds...
Pulaski Day is a holiday officially observed in Illinois on the first Monday of every March in memory of Kazimierz Pulaski, a Revolutionary War cavalry officer born in Poland. He is praised for his contributions to the U.S. military in the American Revolution and is known as "the father of the American cavalry."
